Here’s my another art journal for this week… painted the background… collage with patterned papers, tissue papers… plus stamp stamp stamp… and this time… i added the title digitally… heeee… can’t find the right fonts and colored text for this page… so intend to use photoshop to add title plus alittle bit of brushes to enhance the journal page… so happy with the outcome here… heeee… but my actual page… arrrghhh… got to look for something to add in the title… Happy Sunday!!!
back to my paints and brushes again!… here’s another art journal… using acrylic paint… my favourite stamps… 7gypises tissue paper… been wondering where’s my inspiration gone to these days… maybe just too tired, just too lazy and just too many things i wanted and have to do… counting down to the days… on my way to get more inspirations… it has been a long long wait… getting excited to explore again…
Hiya! been so happy painting and collaging these few rounds… and busy sewing up books too… and of cos my work @work as well… heee… wanted to add more this piece but in the end just let it stay what it should be… simplicity… play with different layers of paint… gesso white to highlight different areas… add the images from beautiful napkins from Steph… add tissue tapes… then stamp stamp stamp everywhere to complete… felt something is missing… but love the feel of this piece so give up adding more collages… sometimes we have to leave things just as it should be… if it doesn’t fit in the place… don’t force it in to take up the place… it might be too crowd in there… enjoy your art musing today!
The weather is just too hot and stuffy! Till the point that it makes me feel headache and sleepy every minute! So in the end pull out all my colours, paints, papers, brushes, stamps and mess up the whole room today… just to get my mind off some stressful thoughts… it’s just magical with all these art materials… so fun painting and i felt so much cooler and enjoyed the whole art process… how not to fall in love with art journalling! prepared a few backgrounds today with paints… use brushes at first and then ended up using just my hands as brushes… just couldn’t resist getting my hands and papers dirty… love the cooling touch today!!!
here’s a little project of year 2011… a calendar… i have done up a 6 by 6 inches sizes of these little calendar for different months… all these will be displayed on my empty white wall as paintings and calendar for the year… so fun playing with the glimmermist and masks… plus rub-ons…doodlings… cut-outs from patterned papers… and of cos stamp stamp stamp… trying to attempt a more cheerful and cuter versions of this calendar… have you done yours?
everything happens for a reason. it’s just a matter of moving your point of view around until you see it.
ooops… i must be mad and real bored! i really ripped off the rubber stamp off the wood mount… just to get the wood for art… hahaha… more to come! chunky art piece… as what i have read in other artists’ blogs… so lazy and expensive to get the wood so i just rip off the rubber stamp… don’t worry the rubber stamp is still safe and sound and even better for me to do stamping… hmmm… u want to try this with me? it’s fun you know… i am going to rip more for the woods for my art later… i must say i am satisfied with the process and the result… yay!!!

hope springs eternal in the human heart… love this quote in one of the scrapbooking materials i found… old stuff… hehehe… good thing is i am starting to dig dig dig into my piles of materials that left untouched for awhile… been on this canvas for quite awhile looking at the colors, images and text…quite stuck… now finally done and happy with my process and outcome after so long…
love the photos i took during my Kunming trip this march… combined with my favourite KCo embellishments that i have left…this is a 10 by 10 inches canvas board i bought… did all the layers of painting and stamping as usual…plus some modelling paste and all the decorative tapes to this journal…hmmm…that’s all i did i think… this canvas took me too long to complete… i might have think too much here in this piece of art journal…
here is another tag i have stopped for so long for the 52Q challenge!… tough tough tough question! being truthful is a beauty… truth is beauty… so my answer to this is “I don’t know!” hahaha… i am so truthful… play with my paint whole day… backache now! hahaha… love my new stamps! fell in love the moment i see them again…
here’s another of my girl for this weekend journal entry… i layered many layers of paint… using paintbrush and card… and i stamp with my new flower stamp… and of course with my favourite text stamp… using charcoal to highlight the features… hmmm… now back to my next girl journal entry to end my sunday today… got to go back to work tomorrow… arrrghhhh plus… yeaaaaah…. hehehe
It’s weekend again! So looking forward to my weekend off these days… so happy i am back to my paints and journal again… i am so not inspired these days… played too much with my new camera with the “negative” thoughts in mind fully…. hehehe…. back to this journal entry… been so long not into drawing of the girls… need to practice again… so i guess my this week journal entries will be involved drawing of girls again! yipee!
what i did to this page:
1) sketch up my girl
2) paint layers of paint… main focus – trying to look pinky!
3) paint the girl, do up alittle crackle paint around on her hair
4) collage with patterned papers
5) stamping and inking! and tada! Done!
